Heritage and History by Love

My passion for historical heritage is a deep and abiding love for the preservation, study and appreciation of the past. It is expressed through my commitment to understanding the cultural, architectural and social significance of historic sites, artefacts and traditions. This passion has driven me to protect and promote these elements of history, ensuring that they are preserved for future generations. I also have a desire to learn from history, to make connections between the past and the present and to foster a sense of identity and continuity within the United Kingdom and, more broadly, inspired by my family roots, between Britain and France, sister nations in my heart.

I'll be your guide...

"My name is Nicolas Maurel-Lalagüe and I was born in France, in Bordeaux, in a very old French family with some roots in England.
I have always been passionate about Great Britain, its history and culture. I have developed strong ties with this nation where some of my ancestors settled around 400 years ago.
It was elementary for me to own a part of this land. This is why I acquired more than 5,000.00sqft in four Scottish reserves to participate in the preservation of nature, its fauna and flora. This delights me and I am very proud of the privilege of bearing the honorary title of Lord of Lochaber.
To strengthen this link with Great Britain, I also legally acquired the title of Baron of Curry Malet in Somerset, then those of Lord of Pryors in Essex and finally Earl of Hereford in Herefordshire. I have always been passionate about the history and heritage of these wonderful English regions. Thanks to this anchoring, thus reinforced by these titles, I feel invested with a mission to keep green the memory of those who have enriched these lands, century after century.
I wanted to create a website to share with its visitors my love and my discoveries of these exceptional places. I invite you to follow me. I will be your guide..."
